AIMS ˇ to set up and run a comprehensive service in order to improve the quality of life of people with autism and their families in the Southern Great Plain region of Hungary
ˇ to establish a special day care centre and later on an adult centre for people with autism
ˇ to organise easily accessible programmes for people with autism at all stages of their lives, their families and also for professionals
ˇ to make the circulation of information and new ideas possible between parents, professionals and decision makers
ˇ to encourage exchanges of services and experience between NGO-s
ˇ to push for better facilities
ˇ to improve public awareness of autism and related conditions
ˇ to raise funds
SERVICES
In order to achieve its objectives the Foundation is trying to do its best to apply for all kinds of available grants. Depending on the success of these applications the Foundation provides the following services and programmes: ˇ monthly parents' club
ˇ parents - professionals meetings
ˇ training programmes for parents, siblings, professionals
ˇ special therapies for children with autism (therapeutic swimming, horse-riding and also music therapy - weekly)
ˇ sensory room (to be further developed)
ˇ Friday afternoon playgroup
ˇ loan service (special needs toys, books, videos)
ˇ special intensive weekend training for children with autism (monthly)
ˇ summer camp
ˇ baby-sitting service (whenever required) We hope to see, that - as a result of our efforts - the lives of the families affected will be able to get closer to a more natural way of life.
